To My Cradle......The Perpetual Truth..

Would you listen to your daughter’
Who sings from far away, yet who swings close to you?
Whose cradle still sways there at your place…
Whose roots and blood remains at your space?

Would thyself give the same warmth as before?
Fondling with love..
Embracing with winter breeze&western ghats…
Splashing streams in face…
Soothing eyes with paddy sprawls..
Making merry with carnivals and shrines?

I flew away with knot …
Still thy lived within mine …
I clasped thine all through…Mother Mine…
Thy memories fresh beneath my nest..
Can I loose them from my treasure chest?
A cremains I’m in thy absence!

When the waves bang me…
When the pain pierce my heart..
Where would I confide Dear mother mine?
Nowhere to go when I turn roofless..
Nowhere a lap to lean or nap..
A warp I’m without you..

When I knock you and bawl…
Embrace me with thy kindness…
I raveled through diverse mist
Yet I traveled through my roots…
I wish to retrace to my berth
As thy daughter forever…

No thought can detach me..
From my cradle….
Stem where I blossomed…
Source of my blood and identity..
The place I belong to…
And the perpetual truth of my life….

(Here Mother denotes hometown,roots....
Root is the place we belong to.And it is the base of our existence and identity.
When a daughter is born in a family, everyone choirs:'God has bestowed with Lakshmi'.But when the same daughter gets married, the Lakshmi turns into 'parAya'. Strange isn't it?Legally,a married daughter belongs to her husband's place. But By heart she belongs to her cradle. No thoughts or theory can deny this perpetual truth.)
